Located on the beautiful Colgate University campus in Hamilton, NY (picturesque center of New York State). Opportunities to pursue musical studies through individual, class and group instruction and to perform a wide range of instrumental and choral works in ensemble and concert • orchestra, chamber ensemble, concert band, wind ensemble, jazz ensembles, jazz combos; ensembles (all areas), concert choir, vocal jazz, madrigal choir, men’s and women’s choir, studio orchestra (strings with jazz), voice, all instruments including guitar, harp, piano and organ, private lessons • Classes in: Theory (3 levels), Harmony, Composition-Arranging, Improvisation and Conducting • concerts • recitals • classical, modern, traditional, and rock • guest artists - master classes
The faculty/staff are professional educators, solo artists, composers and conductors, including members of the Colgate University Music Department. Highly individualized instruction (all levels) in a friendly atmosphere is stressed by the professional, nationally-known staff. Resident students are housed in modern college dormitories with meals served in a modern facility overlooking the valley and hills below the campus. The experience is one that will be remembered and valued throughout life in any career. Since 1976 Eastern U.S. Music Camp has been one of the most highly regarded music programs in the U.S.
